About the Author

Anita C. Garnes

In 1953, I, a beautiful chocolate baby girl, was born in The NYC Old Penitentiary on Welfare Island. My biological parents were heroin addicts, and after birth, I was placed in The New York Foundling Hospital, where I grew up as a foster child.

I faced a variety of health challenges throughout my young adult life. Having been diagnosed with severe attention deficit disorder, I struggled with academic delays in math reasoning, written expression, reading comprehension, and pervasive development throughout my early years.

When I turned 19, I went into a state of depression that I dropped out of high school at the beginning of my senior year. I applied for a secretarial position and was chosen as the best candidate. Despite the unique challenges of poor health, I believed that I needed to, in some way, express my hurt.

Everyone was surprised when I enrolled in a dance class at The La’Rocque Bay School of Dance in Jamaica, Queens. I invited my family to watch me perform on the recital night at The Radio City in Manhattan. They were in awe upon witnessing the talent that I possessed.

A couple of weeks later, I won a scholarship to attend The Clark Center of the Performing Arts. The Alvin Ailey Performing Arts Center read an article in The New York Times about The Clark Center of the Performing Arts Institute selecting their top 30 best ballet dancers, and I was one of the names picked.

I was at the height of my career when suddenly, I was, once again, stricken with an asthma attack. I was rushed and admitted to the hospital for that particular night. That was when I experienced my first spiritual vision from The Holy Spirit.

Since 2010, I have been receiving some visions from God, and I wanted to share them with the world through a book—Tell My People That I Am That I Am is that book. Get it today!
